Candidates
Thank you to all of our students for coming to support your fellow dancers at the 2006 Nazeem Alsabah Spring Auditions. This year’s audition included the six current members of Nazeem Alsabah, who had to re-audition for their spot and six additional student auditioners, for a total of twelve dancers auditioning.
These candidates underwent a challenging technique evaluation on Sunday, April 9th after the present Nazeem Alsabah Members put on a 45 minute show at the Dogwood Festival. Phew!
On Monday, April 10th they continued the audition procession by performing a solo of one of the studio's choreographies & doing restaurant style freestyle dancing for all of the students in attendance.
The audience, filled with current students from our studio, voted for their personal favorites, in the following categories:
- Best solo performance
- Costume most fitting to choreography
- Best audience interaction during freestyle
- Most congenial accepting tips
- Best overall stage presence
- Most fabulous costume
- Best stage makeup
- Favorite performer
