Who is Performing at the Hafla? You are girl. Didn't you know? Along with fellow students, troupe members, and your favorite instructor. You must be a current student, attending at least one class per week at either studio, in order to perform in the Hafla. It will be just us girls. It will be super fun, and we will be VERY encouraging. If you want to do a new dance that you've been working on or just jam out to the Middle Eastern song you are currently obsessed with, this is the perfect opportunity! Some students and troupe members are choreographing new dances to new music, but it is equally fabulous to break out "Mizmar" or "Jasmine." We want everyone to dance, have fun & feel the fabulous-ness!

How Do I Sign Up to Perform? You must be a current student, attending at least one class per week at either studio, in order to perform in the Hafla. Students wanting to perform should talk to their teachers. and email us sign up at info@atlantabellydance.com

What do I wear to a Hafla? If you aren't performing, just wear something comfy & casual. If you plan to perform, you can simply put on some harem pants, a top, and a coin sash -- i.e. Class wear is fine. You are also welcome to break out a sequin costume, fab beledi dress or anything in between. Just like the music, your costume choice is completely up to you. There is no requirement. If you want to break it down in jeans you can. Do your thing, your way!

Do I Need to Bring Anything? Yes! First and most importantly, you need to bring your fabulous-ness!!! You also need to bring your complete joy of dancing & your support for your fellow students & dancers! Next, you need to BYOP - Bring Your Own Pillow to lounge while you watch the performances. If you cannot for some reason sit on a pillow, you are welcome to bring a folding chair. Please be sure it has plastic or rubber casing over the ends of the metal legs, as we don't want to scratch the dance floor. Also, please note that those with pillows will sit near the stage & those with chairs will sit further back, behind the pillow seating. It's first come, first serve.

Bottled Soda Pop, Juices, & Water , as well as Snakcs are provided at the Hafla. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks & drinks from home if you want. No alcohol is allowed. Sorry!

See you at the Hafla!
